2. Check out the weekly Sunset Sound Waves Concert Series. Taking place during the summer months, the free weekly outdoor concerts are a great time to discover local talent. Keep an eye on the town’s Facebook page for updates.

3. Sunset Beach’s signature festival is Sunset at Sunset Festival. Taking place in early October at Sunset Beach Town Park, the annual block party features local vendors, music, food, and family fun.

4. One of the most popular seafood festivals in the area is the NC Oyster Festival in Ocean Isle Beach. The two-day event in October is a great time to try fantastic local seafood, especially oysters.

5. Head to Holden Beach in late October for the annual Festival by the Sea. The coastal event includes a parade, live entertainment, and family activities. There’s even a dog costume contest.

6. Every Thursday in April through September, be sure to check out Market in the Park, located in Sunset Beach’s beautiful town park. This is a fantastic local market that offers goods from local farmers, artists, and vendors of all kinds.
