Dog Friendly Restaurants & Bars of Sunset Beach

Dog Friendly Restaurants & Bars of Sunset Beach

Do you bring your dog on vacation to Sunset Beach?

If you do, you know that it can be hard to find a place where dogs are not only welcome, but encouraged! Luckily for you, Sunset Beach and the surrounding towns of Ocean Isle Beach and Calabash are very dog-friendly. Today we are going to tell you about a few places you can bring your pup for a bite to eat, a cool drink, and some fun socialization. As nice as your Sunset Beach rental might be, no one wants to stay inside all the time.

Now, it's time to get out and about in and around Sunset Beach!

** Please note that some of these establishments are on pause or on limited hours due to Covid-19. Always call ahead or check their Facebook pages to make sure they are open before heading out. **

Fibber McGees | Sunset Vacations

Fibber McGees

This fun, Irish-themed pub allows dogs to hang out at any of their outdoor tables. Don't be surprised if your wait staff brings out a nice, cool bowl of water for your pet, as well as plenty of smiles. Dogs are welcome, and you will love this restaurant and pub for their delicious menu and casual atmosphere.

Calabash Deli

"A real New York Deli in the heart of the Carolinas!", The Calabash Deli allows dogs to hang out in the outdoor areas (but you do need to order your food inside). They are known for great breakfast sandwiches as well as the classic deli favorites, like sandwich meats and pickles! If you happen to be visiting the area during a holiday (like Thanksgiving, Easter, or even St Patrick's Day), this restaurant offers amazing takeout specials so you don't have to cook.

Delilah’s Brew and Chew

When you have a dog as your logo, odds are good that you love dogs! This is certainly true of the staff at Delilah's Brew and Chew, which is named after their adorable pup!

They actually have a fenced, outdoor area (the "dog beach") where you can let your dog play and hang out while you enjoy a great cup of coffee (or a glass of wine later in the day).  Oh, and they have yummy food, too (see menu)!

Waterfront Seafood Shack

At the Waterfront Seafood Shack, dogs are welcome at all outdoor tables. This riverfront restaurant specializes in Calabash-style fried seafood. This seafood is FRESH - in fact, it's right off the boats, which are owned by this same company! This is one of the best places to get real, genuine, Calabash style seafood, all while enjoying an amazing waterfront view with your pup. They are actually known for great service, too - so stop by for a delicious meal and fun experience.

Pelican's Perch | Sunset Vacations

Pelican's Perch

The Pelican's Perch is a local bar located right next door in Ocean Isle Beach. In addition to nice cold drinks in a fun and festive atmosphere, the Grill serves up delicious pub grub with an emphasis on seafood. All of their eats are made to order and they are famous for staying true to their mission of "homemade" and fresh - with plenty of locally sourced ingredients.

Dogs are welcome to party on the patio!
